The Church of Hedvig Eleonora

06 Aug

Time to wake up!!! I think this blog have slept long enough now and are ready to take us on a walk through some more beautiful churches. This time we take a closer look at churches located in Östermalm, the eastern district of central Stockholm. The first church to visit is the oldest church at Östermalm. It’s also one of my absolute favourite among Stockholm’s churches, Hedvig Eleonora kyrka. The church got its name from Hedvig Eleonora of Holstein-Gottorp, the Queen consort of King Charles X of Sweden. The Church of Hedvig Eleonora is located next to Ötermalmstorg. In the next days I will tell you more about this church and show you more beautiful HDR-pictures from it. In this HDR you can see Hedvig Eleonora’s exterior look viewed from the churchyard.
