1949 Buick Roadmaster

28 Jun

Todays car in my veteran car week is a beautiful 1949 Buick Roadmaster I captured outside Mariefreds Värdshus on Ångans dag. Buick is a luxury brand of General Motors (GM) and it’s currently the oldest American still active car manufacturer, and among the oldest automobile brands in the world. It originated as the Buick Auto-Vim and Power Company in 1899 and soon became the largest car maker in America. Using the profits from this, Buick’s owner William C. Durant embarked on a series of corporate acquisitions, creating the new mega-corporation General Motors.
